Friend,
I hope you had a safe holiday weekend.
In these difficult times, concise and accurate information related to COVID-19 can be difficult to get. For that reason, earlier this month, I launched a new Facebook Live series, “Coronavirus Community Forum,” to share updates from Boca Raton’s elected leaders at all levels of government. Last week, thousands of residents tuned in to hear from County Commissioner Robert Weinroth and State Representative Emily Slosberg
This week, we will feature guests Congressman Ted Deutch and Palm Beach County’s School Board Chair Frank Barbieri. During each episode we will be answering live questions from the audience pertaining to COVID-19. If you are unable to tune in live, you are welcome to email me a question in advance at athomson@myboca.us.
Residents are also encouraged to participate in the virtual city council meeting tomorrow, April 14th, at 6:00 p.m. Please join us at myboca.us/meetings. For detailed instructions on how to join, click here.
Our new online format also allows multiple ways for the public to comment on agenda items.
To submit written comments during the meeting, use the “chat” function (provide your name and address, then your written comment).
To speak during the meeting, you may electronically “raise your hand” during consideration of the appropriate agenda item. When you are recognized by the meeting organizer, un-mute your speaker or phone, provide your name and address, and then your comments (5 minute limit).
As the situation surrounding COVID-19 evolves, I will continue to update you. If I can help you in any way, please let me know at 561-334-6471 or athomson@myboca.us
Stay home and stay safe.
Andy Thomson
Boca Raton City Councilman
